Chord Rustlers Take Second Place and Most Improved Chorus

The Bozeman Chord Rustlers Barbershop Chorus placed second in the Division V contest in Pasco, Washington on Saturday, May 5. They also received the "Most Improved Chorus" award by scoring 70.8. This is the first time the chorus has "broken into" the 70s in their scoring. The contest is part of the International Barbershop Society preliminary rounds to determine the best choruses and quartets in the world. Singing “Once Upon a Time” and “My Honey's Lovin' Arms” the chorus won the opportunity to compete at the Evergreen District Contest in Spokane, Washington September 30, 2012. Division 5 consists of choruses and quartets from Idaho, western Montana, southern Alberta, and eastern Washington. The Evergreen District includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, and parts of Montana and Alberta. The Chord Rustlers under the direction of Natalie Berdahl had 33 members on stage. The Chord Rustlers meet at Grace Bible Church every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Guests are always welcome.
