Chord Rustlers Take 2nd Place and "Most Improved Chorus" The Bozeman Chord Rustlers Barbershop Chorus placed second in the Division V contest in Pasco, Washington on Saturday, May 5. They also received the "Most Improved Chorus" award by scoring 70.8. This is the first time the chorus has "broken into" the 70s in their scoring. The contest is part of the International Barbershop Society preliminary rounds to determine the best choruses and quartets in the world. Singing “Once Upon a Time” and “My Honey's Lovin' Arms” the chorus won the opportunity to compete at the Evergreen District Contest in Spokane, Washington September 30, 2012. Division 5 consists of choruses and quartets from Idaho, western Montana, southern Alberta, and eastern Washington. The Evergreen District includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, and parts of Montana and Alberta. The Chord Rustlers under the direction of Natalie Berdahl had 33 members on stage. The Chord Rustlers meet at Grace Bible Church every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Guests are always welcome.

Bozeman Chord Rustlers “Most Improved Chorus” Bozeman Chord Rustlers Barbershop Chorus placed 7th among 18 choruses in the Evergreen District competition in Spokane, Washington on October 1, 2011. The Chord Rustlers were also named the “Most Improved Chorus” in the entire District. Performing “Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair” and “My Honey’s Lovin’ Arms,” the chorus reached a score higher than any in their 30-year history. The Barbershop Harmony Society hosts three levels of competition to determine the best choruses and quartets in the world; this competition brought together the best choruses and quartets from Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, British Columbia, and Alberta. Under the direction of Natalie Berdahl, the Chord Rustlers were joined on stage with dual members from the Helena and Missoula chapters. Upcoming performances of the Chord Rustlers will be their free Veteran’s Day show on November 11th at the Bozeman Senior Center and their annual show March 3, 2012 at the Belgrade High School Events Center featuring the 2006 International Quartet Champions, “Vocal Spectrum.” The Chord Rustlers welcome men of all ages to their join them in the Fireside Room at Grace Bible Church on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm for an evening of fun and singing.
