The Chord Rustlers perform as invited guests at Memorial Day services, Independence Day tributes, and we host a Veteran's Day tribute to our veterans on November 11th each year. We also participate in the annual Memorial Day service at Soldier's Chapel in Big Sky. During the month of December, the Chord Rustlers perform at various senior living centers in the Bozeman area.

The Chord Rustlers are a Gallatin Valley institution chartered in 1975 and are members of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international organization of over 25,000 singers who perform a cappella music in the barbershop style.

The Chord Rustlers have over 35 active members from high school age to nearly 90. The Chord Rustlers perform over 25 concerts in Gallatin Valley each year at senior citizen centers, banquets, weddings, Memorial Day services, Veterans Day tributes, and baseball games. The Chord Rustler’s primary fund raiser is selling Tater Pigs™ at the Sweet Pea Festival. Over 5,000 pounds of Gallatin Valley potatoes are sold each year. The Chord Rustlers are sustaining members of the Bozeman Friends of Music and have contributed an additional $30,000 in grants to vocal music programs at high schools in Gallatin, Park, and Meagher Counties. They also sponsor the Big Sky Youth Harmony Rendezvous, a vocal music camp in June for high school age students (girls and boys) from Montana and the Northwest held at Luccock Park south of Livingston every year. The camp has introduced hundreds of high school girls and boys to a cappella choral singing.
